RedZebra Mobile Image Management for Building Sector launched

RedZebra Mobile ® is a new mobile phone image management solution which enables building and construction companies and their suppliers to take and send camera images in real-time to an on-line gallery for viewing by work colleagues, supervisors and management, anywhere.

RedZebra Mobile's solution means that site managers, workers and sub-contractors can take mobile phone images, instantly upload them to share possible work issues, problem solve remotely or simply record daily work processes. It requires no additional software to work on any mobile phone, is independent of the operator and works with both CDMA and GSM mobile systems.

The RedZebra Mobile solution was specifically developed to address the issue of taking real-time pictures of parts of construction sites that couldn't be monitored by time lapse remote control security cameras. There was also that issue of capturing very detailed images of particular build problems.

The ability to remotely take and store digital images, via the Internet, means that field staff don't have to travel to numerous remote sites - they simply have someone onsite take the shots and upload them. The saves time, money and is more environmentally friendly. The time, date and location of the picture can also be captured and displayed.

RedZebra Mobile also features audio file recording at the same time as image capture. This will be invaluable for conveyancing and surveying professionals as well as on-site staff that want a voice record that describes a particular issue or problem. There is also a facility to turn 30 seconds of audio recording into a Word document.

It's advanced, secure image management functionality means that, using a mobile/cell phone with camera, any employee can simply and easily take and then transfer images to online folders. The online functionality means that as many or as few people as required, can access and view the stored pictures.

RedZebra Mobile's advanced photo gallery and hierarchical storage features mean that large numbers of images can be sent by multiple staff and then stored on-line. The images are stored on Red Zebra's secure server, but the highly flexible system can be tailored to specific corporate designs and hierarchy. Red Zebra is also highly cost-effective as it is based on a low monthly subscription service, based on the number of images uploaded and stored.

RedZebra Mobile also offers a Premium GPS (Global Positioning System) Service. The position that the picture has been taken is displayed on a map with Longitude and Latitude. It is also possible to display the associated street address and post code.
