Frequently Asked Questions
What is the largest sized picture that Red Zebra® can receive?
At the moment we have set the system to receive pictures up to 5 mega-pixels.
How can my organisation benefit from this new technology?
Let’s look at a real life scenario: A construction company had its multiple building sites constantly monitored by time lapse, remote controlled cameras. As good as the system was, there was simply no mobility within the application, no possibility of briefly moving the cameras to awkward areas of the site, or to capture the detail of building issues.
It was this scenario that first inspired the RedZebra Mobile® team. But this is just one of many potential applications. Every company could use an extra pair of eyes in the field. RedZebra Mobile® can do just that for you.
If I want to attach a comment to a picture, what do I do?
Provided you have editing rights when you view the picture, you can edit the comment that was received with the picture, in addition to adding further comments. A short dialogue can be attached to the picture between a number of people.
How do I let the person I am sending the picture to know what it is about?
You can attach a short message to the picture. Remember that RedZebra Mobile® identifies and displays your phone number with the picture.
Can you use a VGA camera phone on RedZebra Mobile®?
To the best of our knowledge all VGA phones will work. If you experience any difficulties with you phone, please contact us and we will attempt to resolve this with you.

The pictures from my phone are not big enough. How can I get larger
images from my 'phone onto RedZebra Mobile ?
We can only offer you general advice as there are many manufacturers and models of 'phones. We would suggest that you consult your 'phone's user guide however, there are possibly 2 settings that you may need to adjust in order to get the largest possible images from your phone as follows :
The first setting to check may be your camera settings on the phone.
Typically, you would select the largest size that is available to you.
Some phones indicate this as "Print" quality."
The second setting to check would be the MMS or Multimedia settings on
your 'phone. These settings can usually be found under the "Messages" menu
in your phone. Ensure that the Image Size is set to the highest setting,
usually called "Original". In addition, also ensure that the message
creation mode is set to "Free".
With these settings saved into your phone, the largest images possible from your 'phone should now be able to be sent to your RedZebra Mobile account.
Should you receive any errors in connection with large message sizes, then you may be required to change the Image size value under MMS settings to a lower value. This is due to the fact that certain network operators may limit the filesize of a single image.
Please contact us on support@redzebra.info for your questions that are not answered here. If you have a problem which you think RedZebra Mobile® can solve, no matter how crazy it sounds, let us have it - we enjoy being challenged.
